The hardtop is surprising light me and the Mrs had no problem lifting mine off and carrying up the drive to the garage and she's 5'2" and not very strong.ekimj10 said:Thanks Marlon, that's a very impressive set up and relatively easy to organise.
Can you and your better half manage to lift the hard top on/off and trundle the support cradle OK?

We are lucky to have a flat roof garage and someone on the forum had installed an electric hoist which would be the only way of taking it off and on. Pretty sure our garage doesn't have the headroom to do anything like that, so was very interested in your set up.
Probably a cheaper option than installing an electric winch as well. Thanks.

One concern with your shed storage - I would be worried about mice getting at it when stored, so would recommend putting some form of deterrent/trap around.

Colin I'd be a bit wary of wheeling it about too much on the trolley particularly over any kind of bump, the trolley you have looks the same as mine and its hard wheels and no kind of suspension so personally was paranoid about breaking the rear window

When I had the hardtop on my Z3 it really transformed the driving experience as a daily driver in the winter.
