Hi All.
I am one of the seven who bought a Z4 Hardtop via the group buy and have just been and picked it up this morning.
Couple of photos attached, not great as they are from my phone. Very pleased with the result & glad i bought it. :D

Thanks to Bob@ coopers who was just getting to work as i pulled up at the dealership, within 5 minutes we were outside fitting the Hardtop on. no fuss, no problems.(and for getting the deal in the first place)
Only thing i noticed as Bob said could happen, was a little bit of wind noise from the front (35/40mph).
So we left the dealers and got a bit of breakfast round the corner,Whilst there i set about adjusting the hardtop as in the instrutions that i received from cj10jeeper with photos(thx 4 that) to get the 5mm gap around the back edge. Perfect, no noise at all up to 85mph anyway!

Thanks also to RustyZ4, for taking the time to sort the deal out for us/me.

Your hardtop looks nice. Are trolley and cover really necessary to store the hardtop safely when not in use?

ksher,
Down to personal choice, but i do have a cover for when its in storage.Mine is the BMW cover, some on ebay are a little more "heavy duty" and come with hooks so if you are able can hang it up.
I bought a hardtop stand from one of the companys on ebay and tonight i have just put the hardtop into storage, holds it a treat, well balanced and has a strap that you can fasten around the top half of the hardtop.

love it, the hardtop really makes the car look different on the lighter colours. Very nice..

Martin no problem  it was your interest in the deal that got it all going :D

I have been on holiday for two weeks, hence why I had not replied earlier

Do like the look of the Z with hardtop fitted certainly gives a completely different look, thats what attracted me to the car when i saw it at the local stealers, roll on the winter months when it will be fitted

Saw a really nice red prefacelift with hardtop in Ronda. Pretty cool in more than 1 way in 35c heat to have a hardtop.

Sorry no pics as the camera chip is corrupt

Pretty much. Pre facelfit with hardtop in red. Scenery with the bullring in the background was a little better than your picture

Any feedback on that stand? I just bought an '03 with the hardtop and am looking for a good way to store the thing in my garage. The Ebay stand looks interesting but i was worried it was too flimsy/unstable. Any feedback would be appreciated.

I had a local blacksmith make a really stong hook which has been rawbolted to my garage wall and then 'hang' the hardtop on it when not in use using the strop on the cover. Keeps it well out of the way - done this for the last 3 years with no problems.

I bought the one off ebay, its OK it does the job, once the hardtop is on it it feels much more sturdy,

I use a variation of the bolt in that I put threaded bar right through the garage wall with a nut on each end and an extra 2" on the inside. With a few washers it made a perfect hanging point with no fear of the bolt pulling out the garage wall.

Most of the time I sand it flat on a warehouse floor in the oem bag.
