Hardtop hydraulic lines

No, no, no,....
Each change was listed before but nothing has changed on the hoses.

Ok, [ref]RobbiZ4[/ref], so in the hope that you have worn out the 'n' and 'o' keys on your keyboard :poke:

Could you please explain what the function of the added 4th solenoid is.
From what my confused brain can work out, it was added to enable the roof to open at higher speeds safely? Yes?
If so, by actuating what?

Thank you.

The 4th solenoid has no visible external functionality and "no" addituonal hoses.

Our current knowledge is
- introduced about 03/2012
- internal valve for the hydroblock
- assumption: more power to move the package while rolling

We've set up a test roof in a cellar apart of a car to test all functions, weaks and cross changes of components of pre and post 2012.

Thank you, I appreciate the answer and the fact that even someone as obviously clued-up as you are on these is having to admit to an 'assumption' on that point.
It's great that you are taking the time to set up a test roof.
Is the plan to 'fail' individual components to replicate customers' problems?
That would be a huge resource for all E89 owners.
Good luck with it.

But could be triggered electronically via valve 4.
Again alternative facts from you? :rcard: :rcard: :rcard:

No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no...

The newer CTM works completely different!
I've tracked the complete activities on both pump types with my EKG system as well. The 4th solenoid is actively in use in parallel to the other 3 ones in both directions. That's the reason, why newer CTMs check the existance of the 4th sol. before anything starts to move.

They are not alternate FACTS, they are a query and a suggestion. If you have knowledge of what they do then just say so. Instead of just mentioning something that was said before on some other part of the forum.

Don't think i will bother to suggest anything about anything.
Bye folks.

Ok guys, from now on I will keep my mouth as well as my fingers and you may post as much rumours as you want.

I'm a bit pissed off that when I explain sth. the next is writing the opposite or reposts his alternative facts.
Everything I've posted in the past was the result of massive researchs and investigatsion compared with the results of multiple dozens repaired roofs.
Bye bye.

I for one am not pleased that RobbiZ4 is 'apparently' left the forum site... I know from experience that his replies were curt but his knowledge was excellent and he did try to help - I think some people left him frustrated. Southern Germans tend to have this sharpish manner which to them is just logic, black and white, but to outsiders appears perhaps rude or brusque. Saying that I have had some severe rude comments from UK members so I'm not going to single out Germans....

I send out an appeal to RobbiZ4 to come back (even under a new pseudo if that helps) and we can all try to get along....

Well framed..I used to work for a German IT organisation headquartered in `Munich..”listen to me carefully, I shall only say this once”

I think with the hate mail that followed I can’t see him coming back..

I think that some bright people’s approach allied to as you say that Bavarian style imputed in some people’s minds am image that was not representative of the individual...

It’s a great loss to the forum..
