Hardtop heated rear window not working

Hi all and happy new year
I'm about to put the hardtop back on the car and remembered that the heated rear window wasn't working last winter. It was fine the time before that but never got around to investigating the problem. There must be a contact point between car and roof which might need cleaning...does anyone know or had this problem before? Thanks

There are 2 delicate little wires with a push in fitting that sometimes come loose - near the mounting points on each side.
