Hardtop heads-up from Holland

Just thought I'd throw these on here for anyone who may be interested in getting hold of a cheapish hardtop for winter. Can be had for as little as €600 sometimes! :wink:

The marktplaats.nl site is an unregulated auction site which means that the price you pay can sometimes be much less than the asking price following a bit of haggling and deals are usually done with buyers agreeing on a selling price before collecting/paying in person. Emailing the sellers in English is usually no problem either as most people can speak it here.

I'm currently located in Holland near Utrecht and would be perfectly happy to assist in securing a deal or facilitating a purchase for anyone who's interested as they seem to be 10-a-penny over here right now and perhaps somewhat much cheaper than asking prices in Blighty. There's a few other sites such as speurders.nl and tweedehands.nl but these aren't as popular

I think Harwich would be your closest ferry (?). Eurotunnel is a bit crap these days with all the immigrants on the French side. Last time I came to blighty that way i was getting things chucked at me from the side of the motorway!

Oh I get it...you rang them to let them know I'd be passing their camp and to be ready with rotten cabbages and sacks of human excrement? Charming!

The camp is closed now though and the tunnel is so much quicker.

Yeah knew about the camp closing but I can't imagine its solved all the problems with people trying to sneak onto trucks and beg for a ride in ur car when reaching the terminus.
You were there recently.
