Hardtop - a good investment?

I can't deny that I'm tempted when I see sterling grey ones for sale as anything that adds to the Zed can be good but for me it would have to be seriously cheap as it would probably be for no other reason than to improve re-sale potential (and I plan on keeping my Zed for a long time!).

Don't think I'll bother with one for my car. It will be cleaned lots and garaged

It will be interesting to see what happens over coming months to prices of the more popular colours. You could be right, but I'm not convinced and think they will be a lot higher than this.

Ok so I should have snapped up the colour matched Merlot one. But what about mixed colours? Black hardtop on a Merlot? Views?

I've tried to talk down the price of these things but it's clearly not going to work :lol:

Do you think it was the fact that it was because it was Merlot that depressed the price of this one ? It's a relatively rare colour and it means most potential buyers would be factoring in a respray at circa £200 in to the overall cost.

I can see the advantages of a hardtop but I've always thought they look a little odd on the car and spoil the looks a bit too.

Yes - think so because it's rarer colour most people factor in the respray and hassle, plus the sun was shining and now we are seeing the first signs of Autumn.

Can't agree about the look and fit, but that's all just our preferences.

I play rugby...... I leave footballl to the girls lol ....... and I,ve never worn sandals , so not in a position to comment :poke:

I thought this grey lid might be a bargain although it needs a repair to some nasty looking damage, but appears it won't be cheap :?

I guess if you were planning on a colour change, to repair the dent would be just another £50 onto the respray costs, so no big deal.

See what it goes for with curiosity/interest.
