New guy here! Just picked up a 2003 Z4 2.5 a few weeks ago. I think the hydraulic motor is out in the Soft top and the BMW dealershit is trying to get me to replace the whole assembly for around $2300 If that's not necessary then I don't want to do it. I found individual parts of the assembly for sale for much cheaper because I suspect he entire assembly is not faulty. The top on in is brand new (any insight on this issue is welcome as well).
However though I am in search of a hardtop of any color. Any help would be appreciated. I found a new one online for about $2500. I'd prefer a used one with a retrofit kit included. It will be painted to match the car when it's overhaul is complete in a few weeks.
