Hard top lining rattle

The lining has developed an annoying rattle in the centre, directly above the rear window. I can feel that it is loose and it's the only part of the lining that doesn't have plastic fasteners (below) holding it in place. :?

Does anyone know if it it's meant to clip in place somehow over the rear window? It looks as though I'm going to have to remove it to sort the problem. Also, can anyone tell me how to remove these fasteners without wrecking them?

Thanks.

you pay need to take off the lining to see if something inside has come adrift, very simple to do btw....

take some pics of the internals and report back. If the tops off the car this will take you no time.

Thanks. Yes, I've removed the top. Just need to understand how to get these plastic fasteners off...

turn them alittle bit then gently pry, or use a trim removal tool....

take some detailed pics of the internals unless you find something free roaming in their, take some pics for reference any post anyway as its not everyday you get to see the internals of the HT. its a really nice item internally.

Do you know if the pins are spiral threaded?

For the record, I didn't need to completely remove the lining. I was able to get my hand in between the lining and the roof above the rear window where it was rattling and discovered a plastic pointy thing attached to the lining which was going into a hole in the roof but not engaging when pressure was applied to the lining.

I tried rotating it 90 degrees and this time direct pressure on the lining snapped it in place! Voila, job done :)
