Hard Top Conundrum

03 Z4 2.5 - Black Sapphire. Matching hard top with tinted rear window. Cool 8)

BUT - SWMBO does not like the tinted window.

So do I:

1. Try and remove the tint (given I would probably screw it up?
2. Sell the hard top in the hope I can find another without a tinted window?
3. Try and swap for one without a tinted window?

Any thoughts? Has anyone tried removing a tint?
 
Think I would try and remove the tint - otherr options sound costly and too much bother. Quick search in your local area will probably find someone who does tinting and can advise you on safe removal.
 
1. yes it will be tricky and you will never get it back to OEM finish

Ermm... who's car is it? Your's or her's?
 
I watched one of those police camera programs where they forced the kid to take his tints off at the side of the road.. looked really easy. It's surely only stickyback plastic...
 
Depends on whether you have tinted glass or 'after-market' sticky tint- sticky film is easy to remove but careful over heater elements as said above - glass- have to live with that I think - doesnt seem worth swapping the top for it IMO
