Hard Top and extras for sale.

Hard Top.
In blue, Excellent condition, Comes with a BMW cover, Stand, fitting tool and trim..
A friend has just sold his Z4 so I persuaded him to let me post his roof on here before he puts it on ebay. To give the forum a chance first..wish I had the money myself..
He's looking for £1000. Or nearest offer. It would need collecting and he's from sunderland..
 
He's not a 100% with the car being sold. He can't check the log book but says Maldives blue looks about right..
 
That will be a tricky sale as Maldives was only produced up to 2005.

It is rather a high price considering BMW Germany was selling them new in that colour in the summer for 450 Euro.

You might upset somebody suggesting it's overpriced!!!
It happened to me recently and I also did it with the best of intentions.
 
To me it is very simple. If you want to sell for the highest profit, put it on eBay and it is a free for all there and good luck.

Put it up on a forum, then it becomes a discussion subject if the price is really wrong.

As an example, if a forum member was looking for a roof, and his wife would come on here to look for it to buy as a surprise and has no clue about prices, that member would not be very happy if fellow members had not given any opinion.

I look on other forums if I am looking to get an idea about pricing (e.g. camera lenses), so always appreciate the opinions on pricing I find there and that is one of the "needs" in a forum community.

Agree with pvr about looking out for fellow forum members, not everybody sells items at a fair forum price.
After all the forum helps us whilst we have the cars & its nice not to be greedy & put something back.
 
Has anyone got a clue how much it would cost to get a roof re sprayed or if you know of a Montego blue hardtop that might be for sale
 
I suggest you go to your local spray place and talking to them !
(Only one that comes with a top notch rating tho!)

There is a montego one on German eBay for 450 euro
 
Thanks for the Germany eBay, I'll keep looking and if the prices are right it might be a excuse for a road trip

Miles and a ferry crossing adds a lot of cash to the deal - check carriage costs first!
 
I really don't think £1000 is over priced in the current market. It may not be a bargain, but there is no obligation for everyone to give things away at a bargain rate all the time.
