Hard to restart after a stall

Had a situation today where I was teaching my son to drive the MZ4. He stalled the car twice letting out the clutch from a start. Neither time would the car restart. The EML light cam on when he turned the key and we heard a couple clicks. The car finally restarted after about 5 minutes. One time we were in a intersection and backed up traffic. He got pretty nervous..
Anyone experienced this?? Think I will call the service dept tomorrow.

Were you able to find him insurance at a reasonable cost.

He is 25. Been driving for a while now.... since 16. Just getting accustom to the clutch at the first ride. Not buying insurance for him, we were out for a spin, my car. It was letting out the clutch properly from a stop that initiated the stall. The engine did not simply die at the stop lights.
After the mishap with clutch did the instances occur. Just would not restart for quite a few minutes. Would not even crank/turn over. Typically the engine and starter crank right over.
Put her neutral, depressed the clutch, put the foot on the brake as always and nothing but a couple clicks. When we did get her back running, she ran like a top.

Sounds like a starter motor/solenoid issue.

could be a weak Battery?

Could be a 'Christine' car who loves her daddy
