  Hehe being from Ireland I should be offended but then....we don't really have a come back do we

Although I'm from Northern Ireland and that's a bit different isn't it

Any excuse for a few pints or bank holiday to drive round the coast hood down its all good.

of course I am in work today so that won't do at all

Happy St Patricks day to all the folks outside of Europe claiming their Irish traits and relations (My great great granny's great doggy met a cat named ginger whom are friends so their owner knows wee Jimmys uncle - and well they all like green so hey, I'm Irish) :driving:

Sadly laid my closest Irish relative (nan) to rest yesterday, but the family were all over so we had a good craic and plenty of Guinness. Today i am also wearing some green :)

My fondest memory of Ireland: The Healy Pass (Beara Peninsula - Co.Cork)
Quite possibly the craziest tightest narrowest most interesting road I've ever driven!

Some very crazy and wonderful winding roads in Ireland, have you travelled much of the wild Atlantic highway nfbr?

I have a few times and if the weather is right is a superb roadtrip with sights, views and some decent roads middle of no where, cannot wait to travel in the Zed

The closest I've got to that side of Ireland was Kerry. The Atlantic coast was going to be the next one, but split up with the ex 3 years ago and haven't been abroad since.

Over three road trips, I've driven just under 5000 miles around The most southern parts of Cork, the Wicklow Mountains and pretty much the whole east and south coasts. Completely in love with Ireland and hope I can retire there in 20-30 years time :)

Excellent man sounds like a perfect retirement plan, certainly more excuse now to enjoy more road trips on more travels and adventures enjoying life, you've likely spent more miles down southern ireland on the clock than myself, Kerry and dingle are lovely drives and the different towns and scenery stopping off do it for me

Next time you're over driving we can get a mini photoshoot lol - not many Zeds floating around here :driving:

The other retirement plan was to sell everything and buy a shipping container, park it on a beach somewhere in the French Polynesia and live off whatever's left :)

Sounds like a good idea! Maybe there should be a Z4 Invasion Road trip in Ireland? :) That would be cool!

An invasion would be of epic proportions it needs done lol!! :driving:

I'm quite intrigued by this modern eco design of homes built by multiple shipping containers on top of each other - Ireland's cliff edges and a beach on your door step, a happy St Patricks day this would be every year indeed - and there was me debating Italy

Ha Yeah! I'm a small house person, so a shipping container or two stacked up would be enough :)

If I'm remembering correctly there have been a couple of showings on Grand Designs in the past few years in Northern Ireland doing this - I must nip round the coast and take a few photos looking dodgy

Some of the houses around the Beara peninsula looked fit for a bond villain! :)
None of them made out of Shipping Containers though.

Probably Mr Obama or Mr Clinton' residence and anybody else with a dodgy tax background lol, certainly some hidden gems to be found

Anyone got 1.5 to spare, I think I'd still have the Zed if I had that kind of money

It has modern inside and cottage brick-work feel to parts of the outdoors which Mrs bm prefers, the view is stunning I'm sure in person is spectacular!!

Anywhere along the coast of Bantry Bay is where I'd choose to retire. Unfortunately at age 30, I'm not even half way there yet.

Same at 27 this year, I've not been as far down the southern coastal edges and branches :driving:

Make time and get it done! You'll really enjoy it.
the Ring of Beara is one of the most fun roads to drive :)
