Happy Diwali, I'm celebrating too as I have just been advised that my new car will be here at the end of the month

Our software maintenance contract is with Tata in India.... public holiday (again!)

Happy Diwali everyone!

I noticed that as well - considering they are supposed to provide 24 * 7 support, I seem to get almost a weekly email stating that they are closed for one reason or another.

I swear they have a public holiday every month; imagine how well their economy would do if they cut down the number of bank holidays :roll:

They have 20 public holidays per year.

Your economic argument is in there as well as there are just way too many holidays in India.
