Ive had all the Ebay sub standard discs and the mintex pads removed today and had fitted EBC grooved and spotted discs all round and green stuff pads cost me a lot more but at least i know its right!! Also had the CDV ( clutch delay valve ) mod done had a valve from zeckhausen fitted its improved the clutch feel and gear change slightly but its not quite as dramatic as i thought it would be maybe i need to get use to it ??
All in all though chuffed to bits with the EBC kit looks quality stuff.

Nice one... Let us know if you get used to the CDV mod. Glad you got decent kit put on there, life's too short to take risks with shoddy equipment :driving:

Took the zed out this morning for 30-40 mile cruise the brakes are starting to feel really good and im now begining to feel the benifit of the CDV mod now im use to it im very happy with it all! Spent all afternoon washing and polishing the car taking the wheels off to give the backs of the wheels and the calipers a good clean looks good! Was going to take some pictures but ive had to put it in the garage as its spitting with rain again!

Sound like you had fun :)
Having my CDV fitted next week glad to see their is some benifit to it
pixs pls :camera:

Are you guys all aware that you don't *need* to replace the CDV with a modified valve? The only reason for doing so is that no-one would know it's been done. I've just taken mine out and reconnected the pipes that were either side of the valve... Worked a treat.

Yes I found this out at the independent i use when I asked him to fit it he said he had just removed them altogether on other BMWs, but being as I had got the valve I might as well have it done, interesting though there is not quite as big a difference in the bore of the oe valve and the zeckhausen but it makes a nice difference!
