Big mistake on our part. Fast forward 250 years and even our snack brands are owned by US companies. :roll:
 
Tbh, I always assumed 4th July was the American celebration of new year, but as usual they turned up late 😉

One of my grandmothers was a 'proper' cockney; born in Bow. She used to teach us the 'slang' when we were kids. :thumbsup:
