Hanging vertical blinds-

Hi all,we have a few vertical blinds to hang tomorrow,does anyone know if there is a rule of thumb regarding screwing the brackets up?-I mean set distance in from ends of recess,i presume the screw has to be in the middle front to back if you get my meaning..-thanks
 
Depends on where you want them to end up. If you put them furthest away from the window, you need to keep your sill clear as otherwise it won't fit. Otherwise make sure it clears any handles that are on the windows.

I tend to go as close to the glass as I can so I have the maximum room available on the sill for my car models :)

And there is most likely a girder above the window, so have a decent drill bit ...
 
they should come with instructions......read 'em then use your noggin ...and a tape measure.


Or ......


1. have a seat in a comfy chair, crack open a beer
2. Watch intently as the blind installer puts them up.
3. Pay installer a small amount of cash
4. Crack another beer and smile at your new blinds.

But thats one of the nice things about this site, you can ask questions about almost anything and get an answer, might not be the right one though :)

Yes we did that in our other house but the holes were not even and it pi$$ed off my OCD :roll:
