Hi Guys

I purchased a Alpina Roadster S last week loving the car just a weird thing I noticed this morning

When I start the car the vehicle goes through the self test on the dash

When I put the handbrake on there is no warning light on the dash??

Possible Switch or any other ideas??

Thanks

Just checked, mine shows when started and handbrake on:

I would check the connection/micro switch in the handbrake, there doesn't seem to be an independant fuse (see diagram here)

Is that particular warning light only used for the handbrake?

Is there a different warning light for low brake pads / ABS problems?

I only ask because it's not beyond the lower end of the motor trade to pull a fuse or bulb on a warning light when they are selling a car in order to disguise a fault. Hopefully it will turn out to be nothing more than a blown fuse or bulb, or a loose connector, but when dealing with brakes (especially on a car that's new to you), it's worthwhile checking that everything is as it should be.
