Due to the nature of my rather slim garage I have to climb across the centre console to get out the passenger side when its parked. Usually this is not a problem.
Today however as I shuffled over I obviously put a little too much weight on the handbrake and there was a sudden sound and the hand brake sunk into the arm rest about an inch.
Handbrake still works, handbrake light still come on but rear of handbrake now sits lower in the arm rest section. Anyone got any idea whats gone on and what I need to do to rectify this? I cant see if anything has broken as the leather gaitor is in the way, can this be removed easily? Does the handbrake sit in a bracket?
