Handbrake lever

Hi guys,

So results from the MOT show it has failed on hand brake lever mechanism not working correctly and brake pipe corrosion.

I'm happy to get these sorted, but trying to source a handbrake lever including the mechanism. Yiu can see the teeth are worn, so except this nedds doing.

Does anyone know if they are the same part as an e46, as they are really common to get hold off.

Thanks

I cant find the receipt but £350 all-in sticks in my head. It was two or three years ago now. They had to drop the exhaust (not sure about the propshaft) and they had the centre console and passenger seat out at one point.

I think the cost relates to the time it takes and the items that need removed to gain access. I am sure that the price was from an Indy and included the mechanism. I got them to quote me for the work before they started. Happy that I have a handbrake that works now.

I had my hand brake and brake lines replaced last month. hand brake does cost around £120. depending on how much has rusted on the underside bolts etc that's where the cost mounts up. Mine all in cost around £600.

Brake lines I then got replaced cost £150 all done at an indy.
