Handbrake, DSC, Runflat warning lights

I have a 2004 Z4 2.2i with 30k on the clock.

I have recently encountered a problem with the Handbrake, DSC and Runflat warning lights. It appears from what i have read on previous post this may be attributable to a number of causes as listed

Wheel speed sensor
Slow puncture
Faulty lateral acceleration sensor
Abs and dsc pressure sensors.

I have taken the Z into my local Indy and have just received a message that they think! its a problem with the abs pump which is an expensive repair :-( Are they refering to the Abs pressure sensor and does anyone no what the going rate is for repair?

I'm worried that the Indy can not confirm with 100% certainty the cause and I would have spent ££££'s without the problem being rectified.

Any useful advice would be very much appreciated.

Thanks

Hendry,

An array of issues but not sure thay are all connected.

The handbrake is auto adjust so should not be a problem at 30k miles - you don't say exactly what the handbrake problem is. ABS issue will not effect the handbrake which operates on a cable system.

If you have a slow puncture then the warning light will show up - check the individual tyre pressures. Have you tried a Warning Light reset?

Have you checked or had checked any fault codes....?

I had this problem last year on my old roadster which was a 2004 3.0.

I had all the lights come on after I was stuck in snow spinning the wheels for a good five mins.. I was told at the time that the sensors will have got wet or damp which caused the lights to come on.. The lights dissapeared the next day though.

Witchcraft..

I have contacted the Indy and was told a £50 diagnostic check would confirm that the problem is caused by a faulty Abs pump which would cost £500 plus labour to repair. :(

Apparently their diagnostic machine generated different fault codes each time they ran the test so not sure how they have concluded its the Abs pump.

Decision, decisions, decisions .......I have stalled them whilst they repair my airbag warning light which they have identified to be a front passenger door wiring issue?

So how does all this effect the handbrake then.... :!:

As for the airbag warning light - do a search on here and you will find others with the same problem and not I think related to door wiring.....
