Hi All

I have a set of gaiters in anthracite suede with silver stitching. Really good quality, used for about a year i'd guess before i got a whole new interior.

This includes the handbrake arm pad and frame which is glued into the new gaiter.

Looking for £30 inc postage.

I have these same gaiters... J F Customs?

Yeah - I’ve had a lot of queries on these via PM so I’ll reply here for hose who are interested.

If you go onto Ebay and search for ‘BMW Z4 gaiter suede’ you should get a bunch of results from JF customs.

I simply messaged him via one of those ads and asked him for a price to do a specific colour on both handbrake and gear knob. He sent me samples to pick too. Really quick and really great fit.

I bought a spare handbrake pad in case I mucked it up as you need to strip the old leather and replace with the new cover.

Yeah I've had a few from there because I'm too damn indecisive, started with a few different coloured gaiters and settled on suede with silver stitching like you. I'm thinking about getting them to do the door cards in the same. Handbrake can be a b***h to do but looks like you've done a great job. I recommend it to anyone interested.

Thanks for the heads up re. Ebay seller. I was going to buy these, but someone got in there before me.

Just checked and he does red stitching, which should go lovely with my red hood fabric

Looks like it's £45 for both gaiters?

Yeah that's about right, I payed £40 ish. He sold my two as a bundle but I worked out it was (slightly) cheaper to buy them separately. I know, it's scraping the barrel for a couple of quid but cash is cash

Plan on getting suede gaiters with red stitching to match the wrapped steering wheel.
Appreciate any tips on how to install the covers. Do you just glue these on or need to staple them as well? Also, what type of glue should I use?

I used glue.

You absolutely need the glue on the handbrake element. I only used it on the underside of the pad and plastic frame to keep it taut and made sure the glue couldn't soak through the leather.

You might get away with it on the gear frame - but i did use it.

Either way, you will destroy the current gaiters when you fit these.
