Hey Peeps,

New Member here, Pick up my 3.0i E85 on Saturday and know how important car forums are these days for tech talk and saving cash. Had a look around and looks a pretty good site! :D I have looked at the FAQ's and done a few searches and they have answered a lot of my initial Q's.

Ordered some mats, a MKIV9200 Parrot kit (plus fitting), a Z4 keyring (all important!) and I'm getting the wheels refurbed because there is a slight bit of 'bubbling' (BMW 18" pepperpot style ones, sorry dont know the official name for them)

Once I get the car Im gona decide if I want the stubby ariel and the wind deflector, stubby for the looks (does it effect the reception that much?) and the Wind Deflector if I think its too windy at high speed (If anyone can point me in the direction of a relevant thread that would be helpful).

I have had a look at the insurance thread and I'm a bit confused as my cheapest was with swift cover but I'm hearing mixed reviews of them. Can anyone give me a honest personal review of them?

Anyway I'm sure I will have a mountain of other Q's after I pick up the car so will leave it for now.

Will post some pics up when I go somewhere with a nice backdrop :driving:

Hi, looking forward to the photos :-)

Cheers, I have access to a Cannon 450D with a pretty decent lens so hope to get some good ones, then again they are usually only as good as the person behind the camera

Thanks Gaza , I read up on that after I posted, I have decided not to go with Swift anymore, I'm going to stay with my current insurer as I know the broker from a previous car forum. Although he will be a little more expensive I know he will look after me, once I have 1 year under my belt I will look into the forum 'recomended' insurance (Chris Knott?)

welcome where about in hampshire you from?

Hi Moore,

Im in Southampton at the moment but I'm moving to the outskirts of Andover to be closer to my job so I don't have a 85 mile trip everyday!! (another bonus is being close to Thruxton! :driving: )

Where abouts are you? Is there any local Z4 events I should be going to?

Hi Taz, thanks for the reply.

That clip fits the parrot screen then?

Where did you mount the contoller unit?

I'm not bothered about having the phone 'on show' as such, I was just going to have the cables routed into the glove box then chuck the phone (iphone 3gs) in there when i get in the car.

From what I have read it will just bluetooth to the system if I dont plug it in anyway (obviously it wont charge the phone though!)

Are all the same funtionalities still the same over bluetooth as when you connect the iphone lead.

Sorry for all the questions but I want to get it right from the off!

Hi Navid,

Those are the ones! How do I know if they are 107's or 202's? Just so I know for future reference.

Thanks
