Has anyone come across, seen or heard of the Hamann Big brake kit? I have been offered a front set up - pending fitament confirmation - for a very reasonable price. They look just like brembos to me, but are stamped Hamann instead. Can't really find much info online about them though. They are originally from an E46, but are now on an E36 M3 race car running CSL discs, so hopefully they will fit the Z.

Might they still not have the same issue with the bell as the E46 AP brakes?

If it uses stock CSL discs then probably not as they're 4mm thinner than the AP discs. I'm not convinced that using beefier calipers on stock discs is any better for track/hard use anyway, I'm sure it'll improve the feel and modulation having multiple pistons so if they're priced well I say go for it.

From a bit of digging online, it looks as though MOVIT manufacture the Calipers for Hamann. They are very well priced and come with a fresh set of CSL discs and DS3000 pads. So in reality I am only paying about £200 for the calipers so they have to be worth a punt for that.

Fingers crossed they fit. I know the car they are coming off of. I have had numerous pax laps round Knockhill in it. The car (E36 racecar with S54 and Carbon airbox) stops incredibly well. Although it weighs 1100kg with fuel and driver so quite a bit lighter than the Z.

I'll keep the thread updated.

Pretty sure they will fit if they run the CSL/Z4M disc. My brembos fit the CSL disc both on the M3 I had and the Z4M with no mods. (this is fronts we're talking about, rear set up is identical between cars.)

That's great to hear. I made the assumption they would fit based on the CSL/Z4M disc. Hopefully get a hold of them this weekend :-)
