Hi chaps.
the circular Halo/ Angel / OEM lights keep blowing one after the other (one yr cycle left and right) and the dude chez Beemer tels me I'm the only one who's ever ordered any...

I'm thinking below par battery amperage. Any idea what could cause them to wear out/ blow so regularly? its getting on my ronson a bit.

Do you mean this little bulb, if so they are Halogen, you must not touch it when you put it in, it will overheat and blow prematurely. It should be no more than 10watts.

A colleague of mine used to complain his halogen headlights were blowing one after another only just months apart. One day when I asked him to show me the lamps and I watched him install a new set, I pointed out that you shouldn't be touching the actual glass as the grease from his fingers are what causes the premature failure. The last set he installed without touching them with bare hands well they've lasted nearly 2 years so far .

I'm not sure to TBH as its a mates garage who does it. The mechanic does not wear gloves though so I recon he's got a deal with BMW for parts...conspiracy theory... Eitherway, that's good to know thanks!
