Halo Headlights - RT113 fault

Hi all.

I had an issue with one of my aftermarket halo headlight indicators giving me a 'bulb out' notification and double blinking. I checked the bulbs and housings but ended up taking it to an auto electrician who diagnosed the resistors were faulty and required replacement. Mine were housed in the black box with an RT113 sticker on it. I managed to source some from the USA via a UK website and only needed 4 which I've soldered on and so far, so good with the correct indicator blinking and no warning light displayed.

They're available from Mouser at £4 each but with a £12 delivery charge if spending less than £32, I purchased 12 with a view to selling the others on as my research showed there to be a common problem with these headlights. https://www.mouser.co.uk/ProductDetail/Ohmite/HS10-16R-F?qs=sGAEpiMZZMtlubZbdhIBIEidPY%252Bx%2FLaaEfrSbdPddS4%3D

I will be listing the remaining 8 on the for sale forum for £20 for 4 which includes the postage so get them while you can or use the link.

Hope it helps
Mohammed

Easier to code out the indicator bulb checks, imho.
Possibly, but although it cost me more, for £16, you (hopefully) get a working light.
They're just load resistors, so should have more than just this as an application e.g. anyone who wants to fit LEDs without coding.
I assume yours are much better quality so shouldn't burn out, so should be more than this specific application as a market.
