I've used this dealer since I bought the 'M' and I have always had good service from them both for warranty work and servicing.

I took the car in today for an oil leak. I have a BMW extended comprehensive warranty with a £250 excess. They sorted the oil leak and told me that as it was a minor job (tightening up a cover plate of some sort) there would be 'no charge'. :D

I think this is great when you think that dealers usually charge just to find a fault. Great customer care from H-J Southport!
 
Good news and rare !

Where was the leak from out of interest? I've had work done on my diff for an oil leak they spotted at the 3yr thing. Was yours engine ? :(
 
Yes engine. A screw in blanking plate to the side of the engine was weeping slightly. All they did was tighten it up and clean off the oil.
 
Another thumbs up for Halliwell Jones Southport, picked mine up tonight. They could have easily said it wasn't covered under warranty, but no quibbles just reset the air con heated rear screen and heater fan as it was my own fault letting the battery run down over the bad weather we had.

Come away very pleased, the only downside was they didn't contact me to say it was ready, had to phone and ask. other than that very good service :thumbsup:
