Halfords offers

Have both of these at work along with another chest that sits on top.
Bought them about 10 years ago and still as good as new. Quality stuff.

Good spot Taz, thanks for posting.

Snap on are my choice but I can neither afford them or justify them so these are a great chest for the Bucks.

If you wait on til the B.Hols Taz, they quite often chuck in a 4 drawer intermediate one FOC with this deal.

Not saying they will with the B.hol offers but I bought all 3 for £200 last year as they do come up on offer every now n then.

been looking to upgrade my tool cab lately and seen these appear on ebay recently... look pretty much the same at a very competitive price

I still have my tools in 2 canter lever boxes as well as other small tool boxes, I have been looking at this type of tool chest and that's a good deal. I wonder what the difference in quality is between the Halfords one and this one.

Thats the only issue with them not knowing till you get it... at least with the halfords you know... they have just started listing them on amazon too so I was hoping a few reviews might come in soon

Il like the professional stuff at Halfords but always discounted so I take the savings with a pinch of salt...

Before you buy checkout Costco. They have a fabulous range of cabinets and workbenches and all stainless steel. My 13 drawer 1.8m high unit was £300
Just have to get when they having stock and an offer on.

I got the Halfords Industrial chests (the model above the 'Professional') last year when they were on offer - I looked at both models in-store as they were both discounted, but the Industrial chests felt much more solid and only worked out about £80 more

As other people have said, Halfords regularly have their tool chests on 'sale' at discounted prices - in fact they're available at this price so often that I suspect that they only increase the price to 'normal' in between so that they can advertise them at the discounted price while still complying with the trading standards pricing rules

That top 4 drawer cab looks equivalent to the Halfords one at £58 http://www.halfords.com/workshop-tools/storage/tool-chests-cabinets/halfords-professional-4-drawer-metal-portable-tool-chest

I have the one the OP has posted up incl the 4 drawer intermediate chest, all for £200 last year. Quality, for my use anyway, is excellent.

Loads of space that I can't fill at the moment, sturdy with nice smooth roller ball drawers.

My wife got sick of me dropping the hints and finally gave in and let me get them when the offers were on. Well recommended.

I always get so frustrated with the ridiculous money we have to spend to get a half decent tool cabinet in the UK.

A company I worked for imported a few Kobalt trolleys (Lowes own brand) direct from the Chinese manufacturer. These things were incredible - huge and I could stand in the bottom drawer when opened. They included fridges, car stereo systems and power outlets.

Look at the prices!

I did seen a nice cab in Costco of all places, can't remember the brand name but looked well put together

Doesn't surprise me, they buy enough volume that they're able to leverage decent deals with lower margins and shift through it quick.

It's not as good value as the above, but a lot of toolbox for under 500
