Don't hate me but it was sideways rain and cold so i got the halfords bloke to change my bulb today after it went. Hate driving around with one out. Indid explain to him its in the wheel arch just to save him some time. Hour and a half later bulbs were done. Hour 15 mins on one 15 on the other haha. Felt bad for him but i wasetn doing it in the rain. I think his drama was he took the metal clip on the plastic cover totally off. Ah well done for another year or so.

He probably couldn't fit the covers back so binned those and the flappy wheel arch access panel will soon grind away and be silent again...

watch for the water ingress as that clip and cover of the rear of the light housing can be a tosser to get in correctly.

Are you all implying that the chaps at Halfords are not highly trained technicians? :o

45 minutes to change a battery on a Vauxhall Corsa.

30 minutes to get the correct wiper blade for the Z4 then charged me twice for the wiper blades I'd originally bought.

No clue whatsoever about oil even after looking it up on their system.

I only use them when I absolutely have to.

They are not as shite as Kwik Fit though I'm sure. Surprised you don't see them on Watchdog

You do, fitting child car seats incorrectly.

If your looking for advice, then most stores like that will serve you no good. Halfords can't advise on bulbs or oil, Argos can't advise on blenders or TVs and tesco can't advise on food.

Tbf they sell the right bulbs 241 and i was not getting down on my hands and knees in the wind and rain to do what i knew was a really awkward job. Hes done it correctly just took him a while to figure it out haha. Was really into his cars too owns a BMW 2002 looked mint.

I don't think it's the halfords employee that's at fault here for taking so long to change the bulb, the halfwits at BMW who designed the Z4 are the ones who should be castigated.
