Good find I've got one, it's an excellent set and comes with a lifetime guarantee (just make sure you keep the receipt somewhere safe) - well worth £80

You need to be careful with 'halfrauds' lifetime guarantee. Read the small print - it doesn't cover ratchets, the only component likely to fail.

I no longer shop at halfrauds because........?

But agree their pro tool range is generally good quality and good value for money!

Yup.. ratchets are NOT covered by the lifetime guarantee.

However, you're still good under the trade descriptions act

Precisely. Ratchets are not covered neither are the, very useful, ratchet spanners. I had a problem with a sticking ratchet after 14 months. Tried the lifetime guarantee route to be told not covered, check the terms and it's there in the small print. So I hung around the shop for a couple of hours pointing out the small print to every customer looking to by socket sets. Surprisingly they eventually gave me a replacement ratchet as a measure of 'goodwill'.

On principle, I won't shop there again.
