Half cage Info needed plus Nurburgring clip! (Spa clip added on page 2)

So, after this weekend's Nurburgring and Spa trip I have now decided that the car needs a half cage! Does anybody have a supplier for these or any recommendations?

So about the ring trip, you may know the story of my Z4MC track car build....
Here is the fruit of my labour

Note that I'm still learning the car so I was keeping it well within its limits!

You need to remove the 'http://youtu.be/' bit from the youtube tags. You only need the video code (n-kPQw4Ve-c).

Car looked nicely tied down Danny, are you happy with how it feels?
Enjoyed your driving, very smooth :thumbsup: Looks like you know the place quite well also?
 
Wiechers has one but I dont know if it's any good (no experience) or if it applies for any regulations:

they also have a full cage and do custom work if required

Nah he's on about taking the dog round the ring so needs to fit half a dog cage in the back! :poke:

The car blew me away! It was so safe and secure I couldn't fault it!

I've been going to the ring with my Dad since I was 8 years old, and have done nearly 750 laps! I'm always careful to keep within the limits at the ring as you need some margin for error or the unexpected like an oil spil etc...
 
That's the right attitude mate. Love the vid and all the effort uve put into ur car and car control. Very jealous u get to spend so much quality time with ur dad!

Awesome! Thanks very much- I'll let you know how I get on.
 
What tyres/suspension/brakes are you running? The noise from the tyres makes me think they're not regular road tyres.

You should try mounting the camera on the side of your helmet, as although it can induce motion-sickness, it also shows where you're looking as you progress into, through and out of the corners.

There's a Cayman GT4 video on BTG from this POV and it shows just that - and that it's very quick!

Only 3 weeks and I'll be there too!
