Hairdresser ...or mid life crisis???

The only time ever that I got this, was in England, on my way to Wales, when in a gas station an elderly person gave me his opinion. I believe it was with my Z3, although it could have been with my Z4 and him referring to the Z3 (that the Z4 was no heardressing car unlike the Z3 before was, something like that). So my only advice to you is to emigrate to a normal country if you want to avoid such things.

And before the jokes come: no, not Belgium. Germany comes to mind as a car-friendly nation. Food is as bad as in UK, though. So, I will stay here for another while. You gotta eat!

MLC? " nope, got no kids so I can afford a couple of these, what's your problem?"

The guys at work gave up after my last one....now they just shake their heads

When I get a Harley Davidson Roadster - that'll be real mid-life-crisis - I think the Z4 is simply a warm-up perfromance. As we're all apparently gonna live forever into extended geriatic-ness we may as well start having fun ASAP as a matter of urgency. I'm doin' my bit anyway :)

I went the other way and yes it is a mid life crisis. I admitt it is and I tell them to deal with it. I'm working on my bucket list and I'm loving it. I went through the motorcycle bit for a couple of years - got tired of being cold and bored. I have gone on to the Zed and loving it so much more than riding motorcycles. The problem I have is I watch "Top Gear" on BBC and now I want to move on to more power more speed. Where will it end ....

I also got a few "Somebody's won the lottery!", to which I found the best response was "Actually it cost the same as a new Ford Focus, I just have more imagination than most"

I usually say something along the same lines as this.

It could be worse you could have people thinking you're a drug dealer. The label does sometimes come in handy though with the local yobbos to be honest. I also was once sat outside a shop with the hood down waiting for a friend and had a fat middle aged woman who was driving a bright green pug 206 convertible call me a show off.

whats a Mid Life Crisis............. Oh is that being able to afford the insurance...Having good taste.........and the ability to afford and apprecciate a decent car...........

When it finaly blew up for good, after nine happy years keeping me skint, I said my good bye's morned it's passing for a few month and then bought my MR. Now every one asks me where is the Barbers pole is. :headbang:

You Just gota laugh  and ask them what a Passat diesel does to the gallon, you know make em feel good, poor chaps.
