Hailstones!!

So I'm day off from work today and with no plans, I thought I'd make the most of it and give the zed a good going over! Halfway through, wax applied to the car...

I start buffering off to a lovely shine, when... It starts raining! Nightmare!! Quickly grab my cover, over it goes! Quick dash inside, thinking, it'll be fine - only a 10 minute shower.

Wrong...

Hailstones are currently hammering down and my poor zed currently looks like this...

Hopefully I'll get back out there shortly to finish the job! Will post pics once it's all shiny and beautiful again :thumbsup:
 
Must be localised weather - I'm in West Sussex and it's been dry and sunny all morning from about 09:00.

Let hope it stops and you can continue showing your love to your Zed. :D
 
Did manage to finally get back out! :thumbsup: feel like HeMan now after rubbing all that wax off!
He's now safety tucked away under his coat until Sunday when I give the interior a seeing to! :D

Been in Burgess Hill since 7:00 and it's been on and off all bloody day.
 
Nice job... but mine's getting no such loving until the weather improves. A light wash, once a month. Being a black car, more damage can be done in this cruddy weather so best left alone. It has a sealant and a wax top also, still beading nicely. It will however look amazing again once the weather improves.

Yeah, a friend of mine has a black zed, looks awesome when he's cleaned and waxed! Always loved the black look, but a real pain to keep clean this time of year!
 
Errr! have to ask. What are the two bags in the car, one hanging off the rear view mirror and the other behind the handbrake.
 
They're moisture absorbers. I bought them when I ordered my cover to soak up any condensation in the cabin when I've got the cover on for a long period of time. Didn't want any damp appearing! :thumbsup:
 
Nice job at the end of it all, guess our weather is a pain in the ass. why not sell your house and get a nice garage :) Baz

Haha! You sure it's not your car as well? I got the cover on your recommendation Jonny! And I guess it was pure luck we got the same gel pack! :thumbsup:
 
Looking good mate but have to say you need to get those 108's refurbed - looks like the rims have been painted grey ? Get 'em back to original silver - will look so much better in my view for what it's worth :D
