Not everyone will like these but I wanted to show them off. Im dead happy with how they've come out and when the roofs down and you can see the red interior I think they work quite well. Like I said Im sure other wont agree but at least I'm happy. https://www.dropbox.com/sc/pwzxyfq1ullz4pz/AAC7kmlRcwc6sqbCxbnaeMMCa

How about now?

Link works fine.

Can't make my mind up. Like the challenge to convention and being different, but the red looks a bit dominant and clashes with the amber of the lights.
Certainly different, but ultimately if you like them then that's great.

I've had a mixed reaction from friends and family and was interested to hear what others think. Cj10jeeper yea I think you're right about the clash with the amber but the next mod intended is new headlight with angel eyes so it should look better then. I'm also going to be changing the badges to red and white too.

I know yours have the redline on the wheels, but it reminds me of the redline tyres that were popular on Triumph TRs in the USA during the 1970s

I've seen some rim protection available in different colours and thought initially that's what was on your wheels then realised what you'd done. It's a different look and I'd guess looks better in real life than on a side on photo?

For some time I've considered a red highlight on my Zed and was considering red crocodile protectors on the wheel rims then highlight the 'si' part of the side badges and the 'Z' part of the Z4 logo on the boot in red . . . .was going to suggest your Zed needed one or two other flashes of red to tie in but you don't have the side badges.

What about red wheel studs to tie in the red rims?

Doesn't work for me. It just looks like you have red alloy gators on.

As long as you like them, that's all that really matters.

To Rice Burner for me but I am an oldie would sort the lights as cj10jeeper suggests that would help complete the look and as people have said if you are happy that's what counts would be a boring world if we like the same thing

Before I clicked the link had a feeling the centre stars were going to be red.
Think you made the right choice because the centres might have been to much.

Thought about this a few years ago but eventually went for chrome outers with anthracite stars and it looked awesome. Hope you enjoy it :D

Doesnt look bad - reminds me a bit of the A-team!

I prefer a polished rim and anthracite star on 108s......but that doesnt matter as its not my car. Personalising them is what makes this fun.
(have just got another Z4 - with 108s in need of a refurb, will be going down the safe/well-trodden silver-anthracite route)

Whats the going rate to refurb a set of 108's ? I have a slightly tattly set that I want to get done.

A previous car I had came with a reciept from Platinum in Swindon that amounted to £693 but Im sure that was as deluxe as it comes. I have to say though, they were spotless inside and out.

I have read that the starting price is £80 per wheel for 108s.....the split rim drives up the cost over std wheels.
Have also heard read stories of the bolts left in situ and painted over....so would want ot see their work before I gave them my wheels....

Platinum charge £80 per wheel for one piece wheels. My Alpina wheels were £80 each but ended up near £400 with 2 buckles taken out.

Id happily de-tyre and split the rims if I could get £40-£50 a wheel.
