Had an accident... repair bill over 5k!!

No idea what they are up to, seems a bit high to me, but insurance company seem happy with it so guess thats up to them!

From the picture it looks like a new bumper is all that is needed, but I know from when I had someone roll into me at 3mph, they will change the slam bar that sits behind the bumper too and probably the headlights too, under body panels etc (robbing cnuts)

Close up shots, there was some movement of the slam bar I think, plus the underbody panel was also missing...

That's a huge bill! ouch! These are going to be getting written off a lot more frequently soon  I'm glad yours is repairable. At least you get those misted fogs repaired! Good luck with it all, these things typically drag on and on.

Bonnet £900
Bumper cover at £600
Grilles, brackets, structural bars, undertray and a few fixings say £400
Headlights or wings as difficult to gauge and there's another £1,000 gone for one or the other.
Call it £3k in parts.
Add £1,000 to respray it and £1000 for the actual build and then you're not far off.

Have the repairs not started yet?

Seems a long time to wait, I had my accident after you and got my car back with in 3 weeks using Accident Exchange. My estimate was around 4.5K.
