H11 options (foglamp bulbs)

I'm not going toward xenon or anything like that, I am going toward Osram Nightbreakers or Hoen xenonmatch plus. These Hoen's are higher wattage (80) versus 55 and will be used as driving lamps, not fogs. There is another grade of Hoen's: the Hoen xenonmatch which are 55watts and are more suited for fog lamp use.

Silverstar are not made as a H11.

Has anyone seen the Nightbreakers on with BMW xenon headlamps?

Need some imput on this. Thanks.

I use MTEC Super Whites for both headlights and fogs, they match perfectly together and look damn close to authentic xenons. If you would like to see a pic from my car at night, let me know.

Ducks,

I can't answer your question, but I wanted to throw something else out. A lot of people modify H9 bulbs to use in H11 housings. It'll give you a lot more options. The primary difference is H11s have frosted tops, thus reflecting all light back toward the deflection shield. H9 specs a clear top, thus projecting much more light outward. And they run a hotter 55w at base spec.

I've done it before in the past to run super hot 3000k bulbs in the fogs.

To modify them, you have to clip a small piece of metal off the fitment guide for the H9, and cut 1 of the electrical socket pegs. Otherwise they are a match. Here are pics from when I first did a set.

Also, the H11s in these pics are Hoen Xenonmatch. H9s are MTEC. I do not recommend MTEC bulbs though.

Good stuff there..Would there be any housing heat generation issues with the higher wattage (65) modified H9's?
