H&R Lowering Springs x 4

Hi guys, set of new (no miles just test fitted) H&R, they were a bit too low on the rear as I run 224's and they have a more aggressive offset than the MV's, which BTW looked fine and had arch clearance.

They cost me £240 looking for £190 inc postage.

I am in Solihull West Midlands, if you wanted to collect for £175

Thanks

I assume they were for your E86 3.0Si, but it might help if you confirmed.

Good shout Mr Tidy.
Yes as you assumed they were on my E86 SI. Part number in second pic...I believe they fit all none M 85/6.

I recently removed the same springs from my E85 3.0si. They were just too low for where I live but looked amazing! Refitted the original sport springs and now it looks too high!! Would love something in between the sports and H&Rs.

My E85 3.0si has Eibach springs which are 30mm lower than standard. Look good and no issues. I'm also running 20mm rear spacers and 15 mm front spacers.

Personally I found the eibach a little high, but my 86si is primarily being set up for track use. The h&r front was spot on and rear with 224 would likley need the 14.5mm spring pad to make h&r my preference over eibach. But in the end decided to go with bc racing as also needed new shocks. As others have covered before the BC are very good indeed!

How much of a drop do these give? I have a snapped rear coil so need to replace it with something. Just as well go a little lower……

It does depend on starting point and I did not measure the drop when they were on the car. But for none sports suspension likely 30-35mm. This thread may be useful. https://z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=83884

Here’s a couple. Like I said it looked great! But not practical in my area due to the amount of speed bumps.

looks perfect for me, not to many speed bumps around here

Yeah I really liked the look. But couldn’t get out of my street without the whole bottom of the car scraping on the floor. May try some Eibachs in time which aren’t as much of a drop. 5-10mm may make all the difference. Kept the front splitter on which is fine over the bumps with sports springs.
