So having put the hardtop on for the winter, the sun comes out today, not a cloud in the sky (this is Scotland here, this happens once a year!).

Mrs Adamski is out, no one around to give me a hand taking the hardtop off :(

Has anyone removed a hard top single handed? Tempted to try....

I have this horrible feeling I'm going to miss the sunshine. Now I know what it's like to drive a coupe :poke:

:D I wouldn't try it alone if you have any concerns. How much is a new or repainted hardtop? Then ask yourself if you would pay that much to drive around for a few hours today with the roof off ;)

I used to be able to remove and fit the hardtop on my MX5, but the Z4 hardtop is simply too wide (even with long arms)

Why not buy the BMW hardtop hoist? I bought mine last year and its a godsend - On my own I can now remove the hardtop under 1 minute and fit it within 2 mins now

PS Phil/cjeep made his own and its motorised :thumbsup:

come on guys this is the sort of week talk you would expect from coup owners , i thought us roadster owners where made of harder stuff :rofl: :driving:
 
Hoist cost around £350 if I remember rightly - I can't remember the part number, but it's on OEM.com
