GUMBALL 3000 2011 (SEE IMAGES!!!)

Hi all.

Its been a while since ive posted on here since i sold the car, but i thought as you lot are complete car fanatics like me you would appreciate these photos. I have always been a huge fan on the Gumball 3000 and have made trips down to London to watch the starts over the years. However this year i went one step further and was invited to be part of the official Gumball 3000 crew for the London event !

Words cannot describe the surreal 2 day experience from hanging out with the guys from dirty sanchez, attending the roof top launch party, doing a complete garage tour whilst the cars were being prepped to helping out on the day the cars launched from covent garden and standing on the grid getting the best seat in the house !

yep, a one-77. Pretty awesome, the interior was a word of art, beautiful to look at. The car didnt sound the beast i thought it would though, not when you think a lambo at a 10th of the cost sounds as good if not better. although i am sure on full chat this thing would sound amazing.

Can't believe someone would do it in a one77! Some lovely metal there though, bet it was a great experience, its fun just to be around these cars let alone go in them.

easty027 - when you was up on the roof party at the Trafalger with dirty sanchez et al - did you meet the general manager of the hotel for the night - his name was Gary, a jordie fella?

Did you get some nice free Puma trainers, Nixon watch, cap, video camera, speakers

Yeah i was on the roof top of the trafalgar hotel. As for the geordie fella i am not sure, there was a guy with glasses who had a black suit on and seemed to be organising the waiting staff? there was also a guy in a blue shirt who seemed to be running around a lot as well?

As for freebies, i got the all important Gumball crew wristband, a jacket, 2 caps, the official t-shirt with destinations of the rally, a drivers route card, unfortunately no trainers as i bought some prior to the event as i was told not to wear anything but Puma and drink nothign but no fear energy drink. They were giving out red Puma suede trainers but they were for the women. To be honest i already have quite a bit of gumball stuff so didnt go for the freebies, more the experience.

In spirit - was meant to be, but couldnt make it in the end - gutted!!
The guy in the blue was my mate who is the general manager there. He was telling me that he was up until the small hours with the jackass crew at the bar

When the rooms were cleared out the next day alot of freebies were left behind which the hotel staff were told to keep - crazy!!
I have other stories as well - including a few about Mr Hoff

Small world - one day we see each other on the MWAY then the next we almost were at the same bar together for this event - all brought together by a rather small and unique car forum - whats the odd on all of that!!!!
