Guess the car

There's a hint of Saab about the shape of the grille opening, but as far as I know the only sportscar they made was the Sonnet - which this isn't.
The height & positioning of the grille opening leads me to suspect that this is FWD, maybe using the 3 cyl 2 stroke engine used by Saab, DKW & Wartburg?

Not a Saab, DKW or Wartburg... but you're thinking in the right area...

I know what you mean about the Alfa. But no, not Mazda RX2 (or an Alfa)...
