We've all had M cars here and let's be honest, the ride is appalling, even if you stick it on coilovers it's still terrible, the chassis whilst stiff, isn't compliant enough for UK roads.

That was my main gripe with mine to be fair as well, and I certainly appreciate your honesty for sure.

There are coil overs and there are coil overs though Angelus. KW’s have lots of adjustment for bump and rebound etc, and good quality springs as you’ll know with softer poundage AFAIK here, top notch quality units, not some cheap bouncy £200 jobbies. Obvs you’ll never make it as flat and neutral as a Porsche, but I can’t help thinking you’ll get a car that will satisfy 90% of it. Having said that I’ve never been in a modded one so I’m going on reviews of owners with this set up etc. Exdos for example once said he wouldn’t have an M on standard suspension, but he loves his coupe on AC Schnitzer units I think he’s got. Then you have the S54....no more needs saying there right...? :lol:

Anyway good news you find the 981 the dogs...I guess we’ll find out after a winter rebuild on my M...KW’s etc, ready to go on....
