Gruppe-M air filter replacement

Am I right in thinking the gruppe-m uses the OEM air filter so I can just pick one up from BMW and fit it? If not, what filters are you gruppe-m owners using?

No dude it definitely does not use the OEM filter. Our stock filters are panel shaped not cone shaped like the GruppeM.

Ah what a gimp. OK that means when it was fitted it would have had a new filter i.e. only 3k miles ago.

Yep, they use K&N parts. They just need cleaning and oiling on occasion

As do all filters...I do the piperX on the clio annually, the annount of crap it sucks in through the side vent is incredible.
