Group Buys- Gruppe - Brakes - Rogue- Vibratech

Thanks very much for sorting this out. Re. the stud conversion - I'm not keen on the longer kit as I don't intend to run any spacers, so will probably just go with the standard/shorter length (as it's cheaper).

Seems *slightly* conflicting to the general view that RTAB limiter kits with OEM (lemforder?!) bushes are the way to go?!

Any consensus on what is the best approach here, fellas? Turner Motorsport limiter kit or Rogue bushes?!

I may be barking up the wrong tree here. :|
 
Sorry can't advise on what is the best. Need some education myself regarding this car. Im just getting the basics done and keeping it close to stock as possible.

So some brake Disc info.

For OEM discs here are prices we can offer.

Front discs / pair £425.00 for single pair or £400.00 / set for 5 plus pairs
Rear discs / pair £240.00 for single pair or £225.00 / set for 5 plus pairs.


Will ask about engine mounts.

Wasn't having a pop at you fella- just want to know what is best. Like you, I just want to "tighten up" without going too far from the general oem feel. :thumbsup:

Discount for discs is decent if there are 5. If anybody else is interested in these, shout up and I am in. Otherwise, my dealer does these for £210 a disc (front). :)

I have the standard bushes (new) plus the Vorschlag limiters - which look very similar to the Turner kit on the CA site. When I was looking the general view seemed to be that if you go for stiffer bushes (like the Rogue option) the effect is much the same but they are likely to be noisier/harsher.
 
Sadly they dont do Vibratech engine mounts. If someone can tell me who does I will give them a call and see if they will do a GB on them.

Wonder if they will do a group buy to the forum.

Roy has said they are very good engine mounts and they increase torque at the rear wheels slightly as there is less stretch on the engine.

I will get this group buy locked up and then start another one for the engine mounts!

He really isn't! He's renowned for taking payment for items he has "in stock", promising delivery within the week. Once your cash is in his pocket, he'll then reveal the real 6-8 week delivery time. On one occasion, the price went up by 10% and no longer included import duty from the US. Having been effusively helpful before payment is made, he'll stop answering email and phone calls once he can't meet his own delivery promises. That he has a monopoly on imports for some overseas companies obliges people to use him and I suspect that's the only reason he has repeat custom. I used him twice before I learned my lesson and I've heard only bad things from other customers and indys / tuners alike. Caveat emptor.
 
He hasn't made any promises as yet on delivery times. I will get him to check before sending any money and confirming orders.

Fair enough, I can only go on my experience though of the Gruppe M which arrived in just over 2 weeks, he had said 2-3 weeks. Met the guy when I went to collect and seemed decent enough with good prices, just my 2 pence.

Im going for the full kit. The limiter kits as I understand just inserts to stop the standard bush moving around as much. The standard bushes are probably past their best on 40k miles on a Z4M so you would be installing new bushes anyway. I want a longer life from my Bush :D .

Im getting rear top mounts, buses front and back and the gruppe. !
 
Your engine is made of metal! but the way it attaches to the gear box and lines up with the transmission while sitting on two shoddy rubber engine mounts means there is play. As we all know there are many things that attribute lost BHP and torque from crank to read wheel power output. Play is one of them.

I've had the Vibra-Technic engine mounts on my Z4MC for over 12 months:so what power gains have I been enjoying with them?
