Group Buys- Gruppe - Brakes - Rogue- Vibratech

Intakes don't make a massive difference on NA cars - it's FI cars eg my old s3 that see large gains from a larger intake pipe.
That piece is still restrictive fi or not. A free flow one isn't going to hurt especially if one is doing air box mods anyway..........
My z4m is blown so I've had the piece in my hands numerous times as i no longer use it.....
I'm refuring to the large pipe that connects the air box to the intake btw, nit the intake plenum which is a really nice piece on the s54.
Apologies, my post sounds rather "and that's that". It was more a surprise that a smoother intake pipe would make that big a difference to power on a NA engine. Perhaps a less dramatic bend could be the answer?
i agree but i never said it would make a big difference if you read back... i said... " apparently their are some gains " :poke: :poke: :poke:

Andy ill dig out a few links for you guys.

Also here if you want a UK supplier.

Doesn't specifically mention the Z4M though, so may be e46 only (OE numbers are different for M3 and Z4M), and looks like it would have to be tapped for the little hose that comes off it.

Ha, fair!

Fitted my Gruppe M today - thanks again to Ian. Almost had to drop you a text as the "Engrish" instructions are fairly poor!! Sounds ok under no load but yet to test it at full chat. Awaits tomorrow mornings run out!

No worries mate,

Glad you got it fitted, feel lazy that I took it to the garage to install mine.

You will like it a lot!

Took Z for a quick spin after a week driving the 320D. It put a smile on my face! However got a squeaky seat! That's really annoying me!

Good god what a noise! Over the moon with it!! Utterly addictive!!

Yep, i decided to book my car in for an early oil change because I know i will be using more full throttle just to hear the noise.

Where out of interest, as I'll be looking to get mine done every year and need a well respected dealer or Indy.

Should get mine fitted finally this weekend. :D

Car in having Inspection 2 done. Only additional thing being done out of this is the A/C belt being replaced as was split, nothing else of concern found.

Insurance notified and wallet lightened by £19.50 admin charge only, so no real increase in premium.

I have footage of sound before GruppeM being fitted and will do the same stretch or road again with the same camera so hopefully hear the difference.

Yeah, you'll definitely notice the difference...it's a lot more interesting sound around 3500rpm. It's not quite like the CSL sound, but maybe 50% of it.
