Group buy - one touch module

What sort of speed would it be safe to operate this up to? i.e. if you decided to raise/lower the roof when sitting at a red traffic light, and the lights go green just as you press the button to operate the roof, what sort of speed would you be safe going up to before the roof is fully closed/open?

I'm just concerned about possible damage to the roof mechanism, as I guess BMW didn't design the roof to be used like this (or did they?).

I have done it "manually" driving away with my finger on the button, must be 10 - 15 mph, would not want to do it faster anyway but is more comfortable rather then holding your finger down, even when reversing out of the garage.

Me too... the roof goes up / down so quickly that you don't slow down traffic too much and with gentle acceleration it's up or down before you're going too quickly anyway.

Bonus... it is smaller than I was expecting, from the eBay picture...

As it's out of the way I guess this isn't an issue anyway.

Thanks for the quick turnaround, Gary

Got mine as well, tempted to just pop it in now as the sun is shining.

My package did not contain a pound coin though :D

I've fitted mine, and it works a treat, soldered the connections though, Scotchlok connectors tend to be unreliable I have found in the past.

Also has no ill effects on Reinhold remote, and vice versa..

Great product Gary....thanks

Did you do a how to? Have to wait till Friday (Pay Day ) to order mine. :headbang: Xmas and excess on my insurance really bit the bank balance this month.

'How to' comes in the package with the module, Great instuctions with photos too... cant go wrong really.

Likewise thinking of it for payday, it is literally idiot proof.

To put it in context, I'd like to do the aux lead but that scares me as well.

Me too!

All we need now gookah is some decent weather so we can enjoy it eh. :driving:

Roof has been down again whilst driving today...as usual :driving: , the only time it went up was trying your module. well up and down, up and down, etc etc. I used the Scotchloks first just to try it and they performed fine, but I like to solder connections personally.

you even get a mention in the signature now
