Hi.
Just so we're all on the same wavelength, this is a group buy for the one touch hood module, it does not offer any remote operation of the hood.
Cheers.

Corrected opening title - can not modify the rest though ...

waste of money in my opinion hehe

Yea I can understand that, with one touch windows already fitted it's no problem to just hang your head out of the window for the real sports car experience :poke:

Can we just keep this thread on the group buy theme and use the other one I linked to for the banter? 8)

apologies, but just to clarify, is this for a one touch module when your driving off, and does it operate a one touch feature with the key? i.e. where you dont have to hold it down (which i currently have fitted.) similar to the reinhold module?.

thanks

Just think of the module doing the following only:

- Instead of you pressing the open / close button for 10 seconds, it does it for you. I.e. you just press the button once, and the roof fully opens / closes.

No remote functions on this one, just saves you pressing the button for 10 seconds.

Benefit: When stuck in traffic / traffic light, whatever, you can drive away with two hands immediately after pressing the button once as they unit does the rest of the work. Saves shifting with your other hand whilst pressing the button.

Some may not see that as a great benefit, but I am a real top down person and in iffy weather this means that I often have to quickly stop to close the roof and drive away. Can't do that without a module.

Could you use this and also have the key programmed to open while holding? Can the key programming be done at any BMW independent?

Open whilst holding the key was a standard feature from April 2004 onwards, so yours should be ok though?

This box is not relating to any key programming so it is fully independent from that to confirm your question.
