I'd hate to see how you guys drive if you feel the need to protect your protective gear! na but seriously Is the cloth bag provided with most lids not enough as Its either on my head on in the spare room?

Scratches (and obviously any cracks) lessen the structural integrity, so I'd prefer something a little more protective when it's not on my head!
