**GROUP BUY** Gaptech OTH+ Remote

Nope, opened and closed it up again. They are a lot tighter now so fingers crossed. Sun is out so testing soon hopefully.

Just an FYI for me gap tech. No tampering with my package upon arrival.

All turned up fine. Just need a car to fit it to now!!

Fitted and working does help to have a decent set of pliers surprised at how easy it was took 15 mins now need to find somewhere to put the hardtop....

What a great addition, should have come like this from the factory. Fitting took me about two hours but I stripped  and spliced instead of using the locks as I've had bad experiences in the past. Thanks Mr. Gaptech for doing the buy and to tj for organizing.

Fitting mine tomorrow, intend to solder it for the sake of learning how to solder :-D

i was tempted then couldnt be assed lol will solder if/when the locks give me trouble.... :|

I didn't bother using the scotch locks but thought solder was overkill and it's very fiddly.

Instead I stripped the loom wires and tied the module wires around securely, then secured with electrical tape.

Fitted it on the weekend.
The previous owner had fitted it too, but sold it before he sold me the car.
The wiring was not in the best condition when I lifted the ashtray out.
I had to sort that out first, and then fit the gaptech module.
Didn't work initially, so had to go back and make sure the metal was flush with the plastic by squeezing really hard.
Works fine now....I LOVE IT!!! :driving:

Fitted mine today...just the one touch hood module

It doesn't work...just half raise the windows / unlock roof and then red light is flashing.

Wired black to brown
Blue to Brown/red
Green to Brown/violet
Red to white/violet

Connectors tighted

Have tryed the programming sequence without any results.

Lighter is working.

It's probably a connection issue. I used a DVM to check mine, everything read ok. All wires in correct place. Sent it to Gaptech who were great (considering I bought it 2nd hand) and put it on soak test and confirmed it was ok.

I lost faith at that point and sold it to Marius and it was fine. I think unless you solder or use good bullet connectors (see Perry Gunn's post) then you're open to weird issues. I wasn't courageous enough to start in on the loom after early experiences

I will try to investigate the wiring a third time.

In the manual there is a programming instruction...it has to be done or that should work straight after install ?
