The ones I have aren't OEM. They look like these http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BMW-Brand...906833&hash=item237d943845:g:VHkAAOSwoA9ZfAGs but nowhere near the price!! :o

I think I paid about £100. I'll see if I can find the place that did them again as they're not coming up on ebay and ebay wont show me far enough back in my purchase history (Too many purchases!! lol).

I made a quick video a while ago with them and my elight module for programming the headlights and rear lights to come on with the key. I still need to hide the red wire.

They were ok to fit, but I'd already previously retrofitted footlights to come on with the interior light so I wired these up the same. I don't know if you have footlights already but they were a bit of a pig to do trying to find the right wires. Every guide and post I've read had different coloured wires to use and mine were different even still! Having said that I'm not the best electrician so you could probably do it in half the time I did.

I followed the guide for Z3 footlights on Leatherz.com as it was pretty similar. And I couldn't find a specific step by step guide for the Z4, or at least one I could really understand.

i think its not a easy job to open headlights but looks great !! rear facelift lights with that option will look really nice !

 i always wanna have black headlights inside painted
if i do it by myself am worried that the black paint will come off . . . headlights are not cheap

I opened up the existing OEM headlights and had to do a few modifications and some wiring to replace the existing indicator bulbs with these, but the actual strips I used are from here http://www.xkglow.com/XKGLOW_Sequential_Switchback_Strips_for_Headlight_p/xk043001.htm

Resurrecting an older thread: I participated in the group buy, but for numerous reasons (including family expansion) did not get around to installing the CF skirt extensions yet. Could anyone tell me what they used to adjust the shape of the skirt extensions (essentially cut out part of the skirt extension) with a view to the form of the rear wheel arch and the flap placed there? Would a multi tool with a small sized grinding disk be suitable for example? I am a bit in doubt here as I have never reshaped CF before.

Many thanks in advance for your kind replies!

From building fibre glass/ carbon bits on kit cars , just using a small cutting disc on a dremel is the way to go. Remember to wear a face mask, as the dust is very fine. Then finish with some fine sand paper .

Resurrecting this thread ...

I participated in the group buy and took delivery of the parcel back in 2017, but did not get around to actually unpacking and fitting the side skirt extensions. Swapped houses in the mean time, had two sons (hence the baby food packaging used for the test fitting in below pictures  ), you know what life can be like.

Only recently I unpacked the skirt extensions for some very rough test fitting. Turns out that neither of them has the edge protection I see on other pictures:

Jay (Thantu55) obviously is not around on the forum anymore, does anyone else maybe have a contact at the Greek guy that produced the skirt extensions, so I can ask him?

Alternatively, would someone be kind enough to take measurements of the edge protection? Amazon and Ebay seem to be filled with rubber strips, but would like to avoid ordering one way too big, or way too small.

Many thanks!

Funnily enough I was going to post to ask if anyone had sourced replacement trim as mine has started to peel a bit, I’m guessing the glossy trim isn’t UV protected. I’ll be able to post the dimensions on here tomorrow. I have a business card for AGT Styling that I can pm you as well.

To be honest I’ll be using a cheap alternative, I think any trim will be sacrificial as it’s in the firing line.

Great (not the trim starting to peel on yours of course), many thanks! Could I say yes to both (business cards per PM, as well as the dimensions)? Also interested to see which trim you will source.

Once again, many thanks!

Hey, sorry to ask, why isn't Jay on the forum anymore? Did he sell his car?? Sorry, haven't been around this part of the forum much.. is he okay? As I remember him being sick or something??

I make the skirt extensions 2.5mm thick.

The trim that came attached to mine is 7mm deep and 5mm thick - both measurements when fitted to the skirt extensions.

I think Jay might have moved abroad if memory serves. I remember he posted about his MX5 that replaced the zed when he moved.
