"Madness on Wheels: Rallyings Craziest Years"

A remarkable documentary on iPlayer at the moment (BBC 4) tracking the rise, fall and tragedy of the most dangerous period in rally history. Very intense and truely horrific. A must watch if you appreciate motorsport.
 
All of the cars were on my wall as a kid and I had them all as Matchbox cars. Little did I know that the reallity was so harrowing.

I was amazed that all the drivers in the documentary stated that the Group B days were the best days of their lives. Real heros.....

Just watched this.. thanks for posting Mafoo :thumbsup: ... it really is a must see , if you are into Rallying and a certain age this strikes a real chord.

I've got to be honest i think this is as good if not better than Senna.

As Mafoo said had all the Models ... Pug 205 T16, Delta S4 and Audi Quattro...

Have very mixed feelings having seen this film... WRC does not have the soul of group B but that level of risk to spectators and crews has no place in the modern world.
 
I caught this too. great programme! I'd forgotten the Metro 6R4 - unbelievable car.

If this was Group B, what was the racing of a similar era that saw E30 M3s racing on the road? I remember watching this on TV as a child.
