Ground Lights

Just got our new Z4 sDrive 20i MSport, mistakenly thought the ground lights in the door handles were standard with the MSport, so don't have them although it looks like the LEDs are there.
Does anyone know if its much of a job to get them working?

they are part of comfort pack if I remember correctly or can be selected on their own.

CJ has done on his E85, no idea if it is the same scenario for an E89 or not.

Thanx Navid, Been to speak to dealer about it, but it was in the 'too hard to do box'. I was wondering if I could do it myself with a kit or something?

It should be a diy job.

Get the led into the handle then you just need to get power to it. you also need to consider when you want them on as this might effect what you tap into for power. that's probably the tricky bit.

You could buy the led for the e85 - it wouldn't surprise me if they use the same.

Search for door lighting project and you'll find cj's write up. would find it for you but its a pita on my phone.

Cj10jeeper - Phil - a moderator. haven't seen him round much. was the the first to do quite a lot of mods of his e85 and write them up on here theyve since been imitated: angel eye, quad exhaust, puddle lights etc.
